The Winston-Salem Society serves the North Carolina Piedmont region by sharing knowledge and information about our national flower, the rose.

Newsletter
Members receive a monthly newsletter, Clippings, which includes the president’s message, “President’s Pruning”, recurring column “In the Garden”, articles related to seasonal rose care, highlights of meetings, upcoming programs and events, and more. The newsletter is filled with helpful information to assure you grow the best roses.

Meetings
Meetings are educational or experiential to serve our total membership. WSRS provides the needed guidance and knowledge to enable new and long-time members to grow beautiful roses. Meetings are informative and inspirational.

Consulting Rosarians
Members have access to consulting rosarians. Consulting rosarians are certified to provide important information on rose culture. They willingly and enthusiastically share their time and talent with both new and old rosarians. They provide basic as well as advanced information to the rosarian.

Garden Product Sale
Each March members can place a discounted garden product order with Purely Organic and Clemmons Milling (LTD Farm & Garden) for natural liquid products, natural dry products, traditional fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, miticides and additives. Products are available for pick up at Clemmons Milling on Friday, March 27, 9–11 AM or 2–4 PM and Saturday, March 28, 9:30–10:30 AM Excellent savings!

Annual Membership

(January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026)

We offer two methods for members to pay annual dues.

1) Write check payable to WSRS and mail to James Richardson, 103 Shortie Ct., King, NC 27021

2) Pay online There is a small convenience fee for online payments

Individual Membership $25.00

Household Membership $35.00
